Ok, not strictly gas powered RC related this one but it does involve electric radio control trucks and uses them in such an interesting way I just couldn’t let it go by without a mention.
Who needs brushes when you have radio control trucks and cars? Not British artist Ian Cook, that’s for sure! He combines the wheels of his RC vehicles with acrylic paint to create some truly unique artwork, a style which he has christened Popbang Colour. By painstakingly driving his RC trucks and cars around his canvas Ian Cook slowly builds up images of real-life cars.
A novel use of our hobby I’m sure you’ll agree. It’s a shame I don’t have an artistic bone in my body or I’d give this a try with one of my trucks! Take a look at the youtube video below to see Ian’s magic at work (in this case painting a Honda Civic).
