The HPI Blitz has been out for a while now and is proving to be quite a hit. To the uninformed, the Blitz is the 2WD electric short course truck from the guys that have designed such greats as the Savage and the Baja 5B, they know off-road!

This video has been around for a while now but for anyone who hasn’t yet seen it yet it really is the ultimate showdown between electric and gas powered RC vehicles! Taken from the BBC car show Top Gear, it pits a highly modified G Wiz against two nitro RC trucks. The first meets an early end thanks to the G Wiz’s fat wheels and is then replaced with an HPI Savage, a formidable opponent! The Stig is in control of the GWiz whilst the two RC nitro trucks are in the hands of Richard Hammond. I’ll leave it up to you to decide which comes out on top, electric powered RC car or gas powered RC truck!
Team Associated (Associated Electrics Inc) have just announced a couple of pretty neat limited edition MGT RTRs. Due out just in time for the 4th of July (statement currently is ‘July 2009′) you will be able to get both the Monster GT 4.6 RTR and the Monster GT 8.0 RTR with red, white, and blue flag body work. Following on from my earlier post on the Team Associated SC10 RTR Electric RC Race Truck, Associated have announced that 2 new models of the SC10 are available . I say new models, it’s actually the same short course truck but with a couple more body shells to choose from. They have added the Bully Dog (part #7031) and Ready Lift (part #7032) replicas to the existing Lucas Oil, Team Associated, Pro Comp and KMC Wheels variants detailed in my earlier post.
